In February 2025, we visited Cali and had the opportunity to meet with administrators from Ser Para Ser and El Colectivo.
We spent an impactful day visiting each foundation and were able to see firsthand the work that was done with our donations.
We visited the music school El Colectivo and met with Jaime Henao and his staff to see where lessons are provided. Most of the musicians at the Punto Bare Big Band started with lessons at El Colectivo. The school focuses on students of lower means and our donation helps sustains continued music classes
Administrators from Ser Para Ser met with us at their headquarters before taking us to some of the poorest neighborhoods in Cali to meet their Valiants. We learned that their mission is much more than just scholarship, it’s about building a strong support network for young adults who are most at risk, and inspiring them to make goals and dream beyond their circumstance.
