Tom Zahorik died suddenly on January 20, 2024, at the age of 39, in Cali, Colombia. He lived in Cali for many years and visited often, even after moving home to Chicago. Following his death, a trip to Cali inspired his family to give back to the place that shaped him and the people that inspired him. The Foundation was set up to help young Cali residents with similar passions to Tom achieve their dreams.
